Sue, I have good news for you...... Jacob G. Miller (b. 1786 in Hagertown, Md. and d. 1860) married Susanna Zimmerman (dtr. of Michael Zimmerman) and had the following children: Josiah, Hiram (b. abt. 1818), Aaron, Rosanna (Conrad), Caroline (Ferner), Louisa (Crissinger) and Rebecca (Donor). Adam Miller and Rosanna Kershner (dtr. of George and Mary Fenner Kershner of Hagertown, Maryland) were the parents of our Jacob G. Miller. They resided in Berlin, Somerset Co., Pa. They had the following children: Mary Polly (Weyman), George, Elizabeth (Alter) , Jacob G., Rosanna (Lichteburger), Daniel J., Josiah, and Miseltha (Metzger). Adam was born in Germany and emigrated to America (possibly in 1763 with Josiah Miller-either brother or father) and he died in 1827 (and Josiah died in 1823). Josiah was in the weaving and mercantile business and Adam's son Jacob G. Miller is listed in the 1850 census for Brother Valley, Somerset Co., Pa. as a weaver. Seems Rosanna is a family name! Hope all this information helps. I want to continue searching on who Adams father is. I suspect it to be Josiah because Adam was born in 1750 and Josiah had a dtr. Catherine born in 1751 who's son Jacob Weymand Jr. married Adam's dtr. Mary Polly Miller. I would love your help in searching out Adam's father. I've been advised to contact the Historical Society library in Somerset Co. for information on Adam Miller in that there is a Miller file on his lineage. Also, he owned the White Horse Tavern, and his home is a historical museum. I would like to know more about your lineage. Hiram Miller (brother of your Rosanna) is my ggreat-grandfather and he married Anna Mariah Metzger, and they had the following children: Anne M. L., Sarah E., John Leander, Alonzo H., and Clarissa (b. in Berlin, Pa). Your the 4th cousin I've meet in two days online from this family lineage. Its great. Happy hunting.
