    1. [MILLER-L] Bavarian MILLER/MULLER/MUELLER
    2. Thought someone might find this interesting. When I was little, my father used to laugh about working for MULLERS` milk. Now I wonder if this was the joke. Most probably it was Muller. Miller is the Americanized version. >> This list went through the MILLER / MUELLER story some months ago. MILLER is and was a Bavarian surname. And so is MUELLER. Have a look into the German phone books and you will be surprised of the number of poeple living there bearing the "Americanized" name MILLER. Anyhow, spelling was not an issue our ancestors were worrying too much about. Note that MILLER and MUELLER are pronounced the same in Bavarian.
