My mother is Charlotte MILLER Harper. Her father died when she was 6years old. He was in a coal mine cave-in in West Virginia-Oak Hill, I believe, or in the general area. His father was Alva MILLER. I know that one of the Miller grandfathers had a wife named Almida BYRD. She or her mother were full blooded Cherokee. My mothers middle name is Almida, named after her. Because of Charlotte's early death of her father, and her mother remarrying and moving to Alabama, we do not know any more. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
