I'm looking for North Carolina Miller's, possibly Yancey Co. My gg-grandfather was Alexander MILLER b. abt. 1850 s/o Thomas Miller b. abt. 1828 d. 1870. Spouse of Alexander was Adelia GRIFFITH b. 1853. The only child I have listed is my g-grandmother Clarissa Emeline Miller b. 1874 in Mitchell Co. NC (Yancey Co.). These Miller's could be of Native American heritage as they were dark skin and dark hair. My g-grandmother looked like a gypsy, so she could have been Native American (no proof of this, however). The family traits lend itself to this possibility. Anyone out there connect to this family?
