A trip to the National Archives has corrected some problems with a recent post on Civil War veterans of the 87th Pennsylvania Infantry. This is because there were no less than four Henry Miller's in the regiment. Miller, Henry H., Pvt Co D; mustered Sep 19, 1861; discharged Jun 29, 1864; born Oct 19, 1842; died Nov 3, 1916; a laborer from Marietta, Lancaster County; 5' 4", black hair, gray eyes; shot in the lower left leg at the battle of Cedar Creek; married Mary A. Hengst October 10, 1867; children: Mina M. (b. 06/23/68 - married a Mumma), Sarah F. (b. 07/03/71), Lillian M. (b. 03/20/76), Harvey S. (b. 02/17/85), and Raymond E (b. 08/12/89); buried in Marietta, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania
