    3. Obituary Marion L. Miller was born Sept. 4th, 1843, near Stockton, Cedar County, MO., died Sept. 28th, 1925, at his home near Spring Garden, MO, being 82 years, 24 days old. He came with his mother to Miller County in 1852, his father having gone to the State of California during the 1849 gold rush. His father died there. He was married in 1861 to Martha Watkins, who passed away in 1866. One child survives this union, Wm. Miller, of Henley, MO. Married second-time Nov. 28, 1867 to Martha Wadley, who passed away in 1917. Four children survive this union: Mrs. Neal Norfleet, Esom Miller, Ollie Miller, and Mrs. Lou Klindt, all of the home community; also nineteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren, two brothers, Lemuel J., and Hugh J.; two sisters, Mrs. J. J. Haynes and Mrs. J. J. Wyrick, who are left to mourn his passing. He united with the Hickory Hill Baptist Church about fifty years ago, and remained a member of this church until his death. Funeral servces were held at Baptist Church in Spring Garden by Rev. C. E. Hedrick, after which burial was made at Spring Garden Cemetery.
