William F. Miller was born 21 Oct 1824 in Mechanicsburg, Cumberland Co, PA. About the age of 14-16 he was sent to Philadelphia, PA to be taught to paint miniatures as he was very gifted. From there he moved to Cincinnati, OH where he lived and painted. He became close friends with a man by the last name of Eaton, with whom he corresponded for many years. I believe that Mr. Eaton also lived in Cincinnati. William moved around and spent time in Louisiana, and New York City as well as other locations. He never married, but I think he died in Cincinnati after 1901. He was the son of Daniel and Elizabeth (Frankenberger) Miller. Does anyone have information on William or Mr. Eaton and his family?
