(Date of will or the recording date may be reversed.) (This will was copied without spelling or punctuation corrections by me from the original.) Lynn, There was a huge migration from Pickens Co. and surrounding areas to GA in the 1830-1840s. A book on the subject is "Gone to Georgia." The Empson W. MILLER you listed was poss. named for Archibald's brother Emson/Emerson? ...Also, poss. Nancy Margaret was named for "Peggy" who was prob. Margaret? The names Emson/Empson and Howell almost certainly came from Jesse's wife Patsy's family as they are not MILLER names. I would like to hear from you.
