Charles & list, I have a second Miller line, Apcelia Miller who married David James Blackman on 29 Aug 1824 in Gallatin Co. IL. (Their residence later became Saline Co.) Apcelia was b. about 1800-1805 in KY to Absalom Miller and Sarah Armstead. Absalom was on the 1806 tax list for Muhlenburg Co. KY. Apcelia had brothers James, Stephan, and John Miller. Other possible children for Absalom include William, George W., Charles, Bryant, and Elijah Miller. ( I have not proven these children - some of those names which came from other researchers are in question.) Thanks for any help on the Absalom Miller family. LeAnn

Hello Lynda, I would be happy to get any additional information on this line. I have very little, as you can see. I can give you the descendants of David and Apcelia Blackman if you need them. David James Blackman was b. 25 Oct 1803 (censuses say NC, SC, and KY); m. 29 Aug 1824 in Gallatin Co. IL; bur. 30 June 1879 in Mitchellville (Blackman) Cemetery, near Stonefort, Saline Co. IL. He was the first man elected to the IL legislature from West Gallatin Co. (now Saline Co. IL). Apcelia d. 15 Feb 1889, bur. Blackman Cem. 3/4 m. east of Mitchellville, IL. (I assume these are the same cemeteries. Those were the descriptions I found for their burial sites.) I show nine children for them, including my ancestor, David James Blackman b. 1829; m. Mary Jane Vineyard. I only have the names of Absalom Miller and Sarah Armstead, and no other information on them at all except that they lived in Muhlenburg Co. KY in 1806. John Tanner of Flora, IL told me that Apcelia had brothers named James and Stephan, who m. Sarah Hutson. Other researchers through the years have listed possible additional children as William, George W., John, b. 1813, d. 1864, m. 11 Apr 1833 in Gallatin Co. IL to Eliza J. Hudson; Charles, Bryant, and Elijah. Do you know how many children Absalom Miller had? Who did James marry? Thanks for any additional information on this family.
