He was a student of the Navy's Aviation Photographer's course at Pensacola FL in mid-1953 and, after graduation, was assigned as ship's company in the USS Valley Forge (CVS-45) out of Norfolk, VA, beginning about October 1953. He would have been born in the 1932-34 time frame. He was a red-head with LOTS of freckles.
