Thanks for the quick reply. I descend from Hannah Miller/Henry Myers and submitted a supplemental application for DAR several years ago. It took them some time to notify me that I needed to prove that Hannah was the daughter of Ludwig Miller. Upon further research, I discovered that I had attached Hannah to the wrong Lewis Miller (Lewis Truckenmiller). I have a copy of the will for Hannah Miller's connection to her father but now trying to identify the correct Ludwig/Ludwick/Lewis Miller. You have confirmed that for me. I did find a record of land purchase from Lewis/Ludwig Miller to Henry Myers in York Co, PA so believe that is father in law to son in law. I need to locate some kind of service for Hannah Miller Myer's father-not sure if he was too old for militia but he could have paid road taxes, provided horses, food etc. Have you seen any reference to some kind of service? Patti, I did not find any military references for Ludwig/Lewis Miller. Do you know if he was of Brethren faith...maybe he didn't serve because of his religion. Do you have pertinent details of the York Co. referenced deed? I would like to have whatever you have--e.g date, township, waterway, witnesses, etc. Also, the witnesses to his will intrigue me. There was a Luis Miller...any idea who he might be? Then there was David D. Stutsman. I believe he was son of Jacob Stutzman who was on same ship (Adventurer in 1727) as Michael Miller. The Stutzman family was in Hanover Twp. of York Co. Any idea if there is any connection between Ludwig/Lewis Miller family and Michael Miller family....I have not found any. Do you know if other Millers went with Henry and Hannah Myers to Montgomery Co., Ky.? I know Hannah's sister Catherine married Martin Oberturf and moved there also. Finally, apparantly Hannah was a widow when she married Henry Myers in about 1773. She is shown as a Dietch. Any idea who she was previously married to? Hello Art, the Johanne Michael Miller /Mueller you speak of who was on the same ship as Jacob Stutzman was in fact Jacob Stutzman's half brother...Michael Meuller Miller had seven children that I am aware of ...one of whom was a Lodowich Miller...not sure if this fits into the time frame of the Ludwig Miller ... but i thought i would throw it into the mix.
