Peter Miller b.1838 immigrated to the US with unknown parents and siblings. He was in St.Marys,Mo(St.Gen Co.) when he married Dorthula Gibboney in 1865. He had two children, Thomas Herbert in 1869 and Lottie May Miller in 1873. By 1880 Dorthula Miller had died and he had placed both children in two different households. He returned to Germany and was never heard from again. Of course he could have just told the children that he was going to Germany. Thomas Herbert Miller was placed with the Cloniger family in Wayne Co. Mo. Lottie was put in the Betzel household in Iron Co. By 1890 Lottie was in a house full of other Millers in Fredericktown in Madison Co.Mo. She married the guy next door in 1893(George F. Moore.) On the 1900 Mississippi Co.Mo census Lottie and her brother are living in the George Moore household and T.Herbert Miller is single and a shoemaker. He married Clara ? shortly after that. T.Herbert Miller wife and children are on the 1920 Mississippi Co.Mo census. Children are: Hildred age 18, Herbert P age 15,Jeffery age 12,Blaine age 10,Leonard age 8,and Sadie age 3. Thomas Herbert Miller owned a shoe repair business then. I can not find Thomas Herbert, his wife or children on any census or documents after 1920. It is like they disappeared. In Lottie's family Bible it says that Herbert died in 1950. That could be Thomas Herbert, Herbert P (his son) or Herbert A. Lottie's own son. Geroge and Lottie Miller Moore moved to Corpus Christi and then to San Antonio, Texas in 1910. Their children were: Hazel, Katie, Herbert and twin (Hildred died at 1 yr), Dorothy, William, and Fred Elmo Moore. I would appreciate any help with finding descendents of Thomas Herbert Miller or any suggestions with how to trace a reverse emmigration back to Germany for Perer Miller. With so many children there just has to be some descendents. Karen Moore Kerr __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
