I am shifting the focus of my Miller hunt. I need to know if there is a Miller connection to a James or Jim Miller. He was born middle 1800s. Had a daughter named Opal. She married a Wilfong and had no children. She died in Altus Oklahoma. There was also a son, I believe his name was Charlie but no other information on him. What I know about James. He left Arkansas and went to Texas. He sent for his wife. Laura Alta Stone was Opal's mother. James had a brother named Joseph. Both of their parents died before these guys were "grown". I believe that a family with the last name of Smalley raised them. James or Jim is supposed to have a farm handed down to his descendants in or around Altus Oklahoma. One of these descendants contacted an older cousin of mine and I am desperately trying to find this man. My cousin could not recall his name or phone number. This wonderful gentleman is suppose to have proof that Clell Miller of the James gang is James and Josephs father.
