I have a record, #282, from the NY Supreme Court, in the matter of Margaretta MILLER, a minor, filed May 23, 1860. The handwriting is very difficult to read, but the jist is that this is an application to become a citizen of the USA. If I`m reading this right, She arrived in NYC at age 21 [minor?] and resided here for 3 yrs., as attested to by: Michael SCHAFFMIYER/SCHIFFMAJOR [2 different spellings on page] 87 Franklin Street NYC There is a Mount ??????? Westchester Co. N.Y. under the name of Margarett MILLER. Anyone relate to this woman, who may or may not be my ggmother? Barbara : )
