Thanks to the efforts of another researcher I have clearly identified the connection of my great, great grandfather James Harvey MILLER with James POTTER "a soldier of the Revolution" in Cocke Co., east Tennessee. By deduction this should make James POTTER the father of my great, great grandfather's first wife Annie POTTER who he married circa 1831 in Cocke Co. and who died shortly after they moved along with the POTTERS to Clay Co., MO before 1840. Do any on the MILLER list have Potters, Ganns and Millers living in close proximity to each other in Cocke Co., TN circa 1830? Also I so enjoyed the crescent cookie recipe that I printed a copy and will try baking them. Lewis M. Ruddick
