    1. [Miller] Albert Mitchell Miller - Illinois
    2. Miller
    3. Does Anyone have any information on an Albert Mitchell Miller born on October 12, 1872 in or near Canton, Illinois ?? He was raised by Wells and Mary (King) Hickman after his mother died shortly after birth & his father died soon afterwards. This man went on to marry, raise a family, have grandchildren, etc. Never knew his true origins. His own children were never were able to find out any solid info concerning his genealogy either. I have been trying for many years to find out my husband's Grandfather's family... All leads like birth certificate ( none exists ), wedding license ( he knew no info about his parents), and I have been unable to find any member of the Kings & Hickmans families that have any information regarding growing up with Albert, etc. , no school records, no church records. Census records only list him once as a child with Wells and Mary HIckman, then from thereafter - as head of his own family. There are several years where I am unable to find him. This has been distressing and a great puzzle to figure out ! He is however, buried next to Mary's parents in the Bushnell, Illinois Cemetery. Their names were David and Nancy King. Any info would be appreciated.... Thanks, Carolyn

    2. Floyd Mason
    3. Here is what we have on the children of our Ludwig/Lewis/Miller Lodowich & Barbara Miller a part of the Lodowich Miller family from the Michael Miller & Susanna Bechtol Book 16 Lodowich Miller b c1724 d 1792 m Barbara __?__. He was one of three brothers who owned the land resurveyed to them by their father in 1752 called Ash Swamp. We assume that the three brothers lived on the land owned by their father until 1752, when he had it resurveyed for them. In 1751 he bought 150 acres of land to the south called Tom's Chance. This land was adjacent to Ash Swamp and lies just east of the Salem Reformed Church. He may have lived there until 1755 when he sold this land to Peter Tysher. We believe that he they moved his family to Beaver Creek to the land that he bought in 1754 from Walter Funderburg. See p 391 (S-68) also see Lodowich Miller Story in the historical section of the book. It is recorded that he finally moved to the new town of Taneytown and lived there until his death. He is recorded as a member of the Conocoheague Congregation, a German Baptist or Dunkard Community today called ChB and this is likely where he and his large family attended. It is recorded that they had 14 chidren. Some of them have not been found. Some not well proven. + 161 Jacob Miller b 1748 d 1815 m-1 Anna Martha Wine. It was located in Frederick Co., MD. On 9-27-1792 he and Margaret, wife, sell the 210 acres to Abraham Miller. We do not believe that the two Millers were related. See p 138 (S-55) + 169 Frances Miller m John Long b 1761 d 1838, s Isaac Long II. Some think that she is another da of Lodowich Miller and therefore we put her here. If not, all numbers beginning with 169 should be removed. + 16A Elizabeth Miller b 1760 m Samuel Garber. She was born in Frederick Co., MD. 2. Kathie: I would appreciate that very much. I found the name Kenneth D. Miller listed in the 1930 census and in public records, but did not see the SSDI entry. Larry Wilson

    3. As has been said many times there are countless Elizabeth's ( Miller) I have looked thru my many notes and I don't have an Elizabeth that fits the birth time frame of 1824. but that doesn't mean much. So many females were never named in the records. I'll keep a watch and if I run across her I'll let you know. My Millers also went on into Mississippi in the 1840's and 50's. Margrett

    3. Yes Shelly, That's them. I know the kids names but don't know their Married names. I can follow My aunts line but can't follow his line. I have asked the AR. list for a copy of Vera's OBit but can't get any one to do a look up for me. They are both buried in Beloit WS. but the paper files there burned. They both lived in WS for years. Elmer managed the baseball team there during the 40's. He is an interesting fellow. 3. Hello, I am sorry to say I have nothing on this Jacob Miller, but I was wondering if in your research you have found anything on a Jacob Miller from Markham Ontario Canada? I have a fair amount of info on him but as of yet have never been able to track down anything other then the name on his father (Joshua Miller). My Jacob was born on 26 Feb 1786 in Erie County, Ny, USA and passed away on 28 Oct 1869 in Markham township, York County, Ontario Canada. He was married to Phoebe Gould and they had 16 children.. If you or any one else has any info on him or this family I would be gratful. Kevin Miller Coleman MI

    3. Does anyone have information on George Miller b. abt 1827 Germany (Prussia) d. aft 1774 or 75? He married Rachel Goude ?? b. Sep 1833 Germany (Prussia) d. aft 1910 in Gallia Co. Ohio. Rachel immigrated to America in 1854. I don't know if she and George were married at the time. They had the following children: Carolina b. abt 1856 PA Catherine b. abt 1858 PA John b. abt April 1860 Ohio Henry b. abt 1862 Ohio Franklin b. abt 1867 Ohio Frederic b. 1868 Ohio George b. abt 1870 Ohio Sophia b. abt 1872 Ohio August b. 23 Jan 1873Ohio m. Maye (1920 census) Amelia "Millie" b. December 1874 m. Arthur Miller (son of Daniel Miller ad Elizabeth Frye) Amelia was married to August Englhardt at the time of the 1880 census in Gallia County. In the 1860 Census I find whom I believe to be George married to Fredricka/Fredricke in Allegheny Co. Pennsylvania. The age is correct as are the ages of Carolina, Catherine, and John I would like to learn more about George and Amelia's ancestry and about their children.
