My g-g-g grandfather was Charles Miller Sr. He married Elizabeth Ragains 21 June 1809. She was also born in Orange Co. NC. The date of her birth was July 1785. I descend from their daughter Susannah T. Miller, who married my g-g grandfather David O'Neal also in Orange Co. NC. I am interested in knowing who Charles Miller's parents were. I wish I knew more about Uncle Elmer but I only know what I have already posted. I have been able to follow his travels through census records after he married my aunt but can't find him before then. Would need his parents names and I wasn't able to find anything with the names I have so I'm not sure if they are right. Oh well, I guess that's what brick walls are all about. :-) Sharon

It is great to see activity on the MILLER list. I am looking for the parents of my gggrandfather, who is: John W. MILLER b. abt 1814 in Maryland Married Dec 1837 to Mary A. BALDWIN b. abt 1817 in Prussia. They had 9 children: Mary, Sarah, James, John, Margaret, Ratchell (died at 3 months), Robert, Rachel, and Martha. I found them in Harford County, Md. 1850c. I'm wondering if the John Miller b. 1860 or Frederic Miller b. 1868 could possibly be my GGGrandfather. All I know about him is that his name was John Frederic Miller and that he married Lindsay Reinbarger (b. June 5, 1865, d. Oct. 14, 1941). They are both buried in Resthaven Cemetery in Louisville, KY. Their children were: William Frederick Miller, Sr. (b. Aug. 7, 1898 in Owensboro, KY, d. Sept. 27, 1959 in Louisville, KY) Theresa Maria Bertha Mae Kristina William Frederick was married to Maudie Wilmouth (b. 1900 in Samuels, KY, d. 1985 in Louisville.) Their children were William Frederick, Jr. and John Raymond. William Frederick, Sr. worked in the Honeycrust bakery in Louisville. I do know that some of their relatives lived in Indiana (possibly New Albany or Jeffersonville) near Louisville. I believe my grandfather, William Frederick, Jr. was born in Indiana while they were visiting relatives there. Any information regarding John Frederick Miller would be greatly appreciated. -----Original Message----- From: rwallace15@comcast.net To: miller@rootsweb.com Sent: Mon, 1 Jan 2007 11:59 AM Subject: [Miller] George MILLER b. abt 1822 Does anyone have information on George Miller b. abt 1827 Germany (Prussia) d. aft 1774 or 75? I have Millers who were born in Illinois - Venedy, Washington County, Illinois. The father was Francis - that's the way he signed his name on their 1860 marriage license. The mother was Anna Elisabetha "Elisabeth" Fäht (Faeth) born in 1836 in Bavaria. Their children were: Louis - 1861 Edward - 1863 Herman - 1865 or 1868 Mary Catherine - 1868 or 1865 Louise Charlotte - 1871 - m. Edward Traeger d. ~1892 Anna Bertha "Emma" - 1874 m. Albert Georg Dettleff 1898 moved to St. Louis. I know very little about what happened to the sons after the 1870 Census and practically nothing about Mary Catherine and the parents. I do have a lot of information on the mother going back to the 1600s in Bavaria but don't know her death date or where she and her husband are buried. Does any of this ring any bells for anyone? I have some information on other Millers in Washington and Clinton Counties, Illinois also. Gloria
Sondra, That's not them. Sorry. I know they lived in ST. Louis area when he played for the Cardinals. and then he was in the New York area for a while later they lived in Minnesota and in WS. I have some reason to think that his father was Edward Miller and his Mother was Elizabeth but haven't found them anywhere with Elmer. Shelly, I don't have a middle initial for him. What I really would like to find is his wife's Obit. I think she died in Little Rock, AR, but I can't get anyone there to do a simple look up for me. I would love to find the names of his married children and I think the only way to find that is with Vera's Obit. I know one married an R.E. TenEyck but I'm not sure which daughter that is or where they lived, and have no clue about the other 2 girls. I am also interested in Elmer's mother and father and on back If I can. It's that geneologist need to know....you all know what I mean....grin.
