Does anyone have easy access to any Oregon death information? I have been searching for the death of my great grandfather for a long time and got a scrap that I would like to follow up on. He had left his family in Idaho and was working as a teamster at the OK Hotel in Goldendale, WA in 1910 (near where his son lived). In 1920 the son Waletr H. Miller was living across the Columbia River in Troutdale, Multnomah Co. I can't find anything of Daniel Y. or DY Miller in 1920 in WA, OR or ID. Therefore I am searching in the 1910-1920 period for his death. I found these in the Oregon death index: name date county cert # Miller, Dan November 1, 1918 Marion 600 Miller, Dan October 30, 1918 Clatsop 293 If anyone has access to a filmed or printed index that might show the age of these individuals, could you check to see if either was near 71 as Daniel Y. Hi Judy: I am the genealogy nut in this house and know that Jim's Millers did not have any connection to eastern Ontario and Lanark. There is a huge opportunity for confusion when my Sinclair family originated in Lanark, Scotland! The Miller family that we are looking for were from Lambton County in western Ontario near Sarnia. The oldest date we have is Jim's gg grandfather James born in 1829 somewhere in Canada West, presumably in Lambton County. Records are so thin that we have been unable to find his birth or parents so have to be satisfied with that as our beginning. Good luck in your search --- I have several unknowns in the 4 families I am attempting to weave into a whole cloth but in Lanark, Scotland there is a big hole! Frank Miller born 1853 in NY married Laura Hoag in Centralia, Il, Clinton Co. Il on Jul 8 1884. They had two children. Dwight and Myrtle. I think Dwight married someone name Mary. Hi Ann, My Miller's did end up in Illinois but I don't see a Daniel. But I really don't have a lot on them. My Lewis Jr. doesn't seem to have a Daniel but I don't have a lot on him. If I remember correctly there were three other Miller's who I feel are connected. They are all from Pa. and while my Lewis was a cabinetmaker, two of the other Miller's were listed as carpenters. The thired and oldest was listed as a farmer. They are all in census I think it was the 1850 census. I don't have a lot on them and what I have is new. So I would hate to say no but I can't remember the names of the in the census. I'm sorry.
