    1. Re: [Miller] Andrew Miller
    2. There is an Andrew Miller listed twice in the Occupant Entry Book of Weakley County, Tennessee. You can see the entries on their web site. He does not show up in the 1830 or 1840 census of Weakley. My Miller's came from Virginia and are close enough in age to be brothers to your Andrew. They settled just over the line in Henry County, which is directly east of Weakley and some of them lived in one county or the other from time to time. Eventually, two of the four known brothers moved to AR and MO, just across the state line from each other. I have long suspected that the other Millers listed in the Occupant Entry Book of Weakley County are related to my line, but have never been able to prove it since most moved on before the 1850 census. I know it's not much, but it's another lead to follow. Peggy Miller Trevathan In a message dated 2/21/2007 10:45:05 A.M. 1. [Miller] George M. Miller, born Harrisburg, Penn., July 19, 1857
    2. Dawn and George Wheat
    3. This will be a complicated story but I will try to simplify it as much as I can. I am searching for GEORGE M. MILLER. Here is some background info. The names (DILTS, MILLER, HESS) are intermingled: In the 1860 Census for North Towandie(?), Bradford Co., Pennsylvania DANIEL DILTS, 21, is listed as single and living with Jack Angle. In the 1870 (June 16) Census for Tioga Co., New York ( Waverly, election dist. #4 Barton) it lists: DANIEL DILTS, age 31, is married to MARY, age 31 and they have a son named GEORGE M. MILLER who was 11 (nearly 12) and born in Pennsylvania. I am trying to find out who GEORGE M. MILLER is because he is my ancestor and I had always been told he was adopted and came from a family with the last name of HESS. I am wondering if MARY, the wife of DANIEL DILTS, was first married to someone named MILLER and that GEORGE was adopted from the HESS family during that MILLER marriage. Mary's MILLER husband must have died or they divorced. Mary married DANIEL DILTS sometime around 1866 when GEORGE M. MILLER was about 9 yrs. old. They lived at Waverly, New York, and then moved to Anita, Cass Co., Iowa in 1876. By then GEORGE M. MILLER was called GEORGE DILTS. I don't know if he ever was adopted legally or not. The three of them are buried in the Evergreen Cemetery, Anita, Cass Co., Iowa. MARY B. DILTS b. 18 Dec., 1835, Germany (immigrated in 1844) d. sometime after 1912 Sec. 8, Row 11 DANIEL LEWIS DILTS b. 3 April, 1839 Columbia, Pa. d. 16 April 1908 Anita, Iowa Sec. 8, Row 11 GEORGE (MILLER) DILTS b. 19 July1857, Harrisburg, Penn. d. 23 December 1912, Omaha Nebraska Do any of you MILLER researchers see anything about this story that is familiar to you? I would like to know what MILLER Mary married and where they got GEORGE M. MILLER. Thank you, Dawn geodawn@inav.net
