Hi - I am looking for info on George Givens (?) Miller who married America Carpenter in 1828. Thank you very much, Maggie
Still searching for my John Miller's parents. John b. 1763-64 in PA. married Margaret Garrett b.1760 in Laurens Co. SC. she was the daughter of Silas Garrett and Nancy Ann Young. John and Nancy Ann were the parents of Charles W. Miller b. 1715 d.1854-60 I assume Charles was not their only child. Charles W. Miller married Pricilla Garrett b.1818 in Laurens CO. SC. Their daughter Rachel E. Miller b.1838 Laurens Co. SC. married Henry Briggs Burks son of Levi Burk and Sarah"Sallie"Garrett daughter of Joseph Garrett and Pricilla Ramage Dillard. Does anyone have any info on this Miller Family. any help is greatly appreciated. Margrett

They sent a message UNFOUND but included a death certificate for Lucy Miller. Mine was for Louisa Miller. It has me wondering though - but I know it can't be mine - mine was definitely Louisa Helen Miller - but this Lucy has a father's name Frank Edward Webb (with the Frank having a couple of lines through it). Lucy was married (no husband named) mother's name Mary, Lucy was born in Birmingham, England, lived in the US 30 years, died May 27, 1907, of nephritis complicated by pregnancy, at what appears to be H Josepha Hospital, Far Rockaway. If this fits anyone just let me know and you can have the certificate. Much as I would like it to be my grandmother, I am quite positive it can't be. Hope someone can claim it. gladys In Colorful Colorado gjensen@rmi.net

Being new to the list, I thought I'd write the names of some of my Miller family for whom I search. Alton Willard Miller was the son of John R Miller and Nellie Thayer. He was born (Jul 1884) in Canada where is father was working but soon traveled back to St Lawrence County, NY were his parents were born. Alton married on 4 Jul 1903 to Grace Maud Kerr daughter of Charles Kerr and Martha Lamb. By 1910, Alton and Grace moved to Putney, Windham County, VT and by 1920 were in Dummerston, Windham, VT. By this time (1920) they had three children: Charles W Miller; Hazel M Miller and Winnifred G Miller. It is said that they sold their land in Vt to make way for a highway but I have no proof of this. I lost Alton and his family after the taking of the 1920 census. Any clues sure would be appreciated. Julia Moore Gainesville, FL
If any of you need records translated from one language to another try: www.babelfish.altavista.com or www.freetranslation.com I tried German to English on the first one and it worked great. Now we need something that easy to use to find our elusive relatives :) Pat W.
