Hello List, I am wondering if anyone is tracing the MILLER surname in Monmouth County, NJ? John Miller was born in Howell, NJ. I don't have a year, but it would have to be 1800-1850, since his daughter was born in 1864. He married a Margaret Kierstead or Kierstedt. Ring any bells for anyone? I know John Miller is a very common sounding name. I know his son David Miller became the first mayor of Highlands, NJ. My present research is stuck on the information shown below. There are some clues as to the possibilities that he father of SAMUEL MILLER below, could have been JACOB MILLER who is found in VIRGINIA (or what is now WEST VIRGINIA) at the logical time frame that could have made him SAMUEL MILLERS father. Nothing concrete however. Any help out there? Thanks.
