Hello Cuz'in: This is a very serious medical related genealogy email. A cousin of ours, in the email that was sent to me below, needs your information. What he needs is any medical information on any family history that involves the Thyroid Gland. Stan, below, is a son of my dad's brother. My grandmother was a Murphy who's mother was a Wright. The Millers, Lightfoots, Cains, Hand, Buell are surnames directly involved. This medical condition probably came thru the Cains, as noted below, but any information would be appreciated that could assist this family. Any signs of support, best wishes, especially prayers, ect., would also be great appreciated. If you have any family history that might help, please, contact either one of us. Thomas W. Rogers Subj: Need Info Date: 11/1/00 10:19:09 PM Central Standard Time From: StanR91011@aol.com To: Travelback4u@aol.com Hi Tom, Been a while since I talked with you, Now I come begging for info that you may have or may be available from some of the Rogers clan that is in that area. Our Grand Daughter Abriel has been diagnosed with an overactive thyroid condition that is causing some pretty serious side affects. Some of the side affects could become life threatening if not corrected. They have done tests on Abriel's (Grand Daughter) thyroid and the results were NOT good. Her tests were reading 53 and normal is supposed to be about 30-35. Her thyroid is overactive and is causing all kinds of complications with possible serious heart damage as just one of the possible side affects. Her doctor has ask for information on family history of any thyroid problems that we have had in the past. Apparently he thinks this a hereditary problem and needs as much info as possible. Please let me know if any of the people on the Rogers/Cain side of the family had thyroid problems. I think Les Rogers said that Mom (Louise Rogers/Cain) had a thyroid condition a couple of years before she died and possibly her mother had it also. Please let me know of any info that you have in this regard. This is pretty serious and the doctor needs as much history as he can get to work up a treatment program for her. At this time thay are ruling out surgury and are trying medication but it may come to surgury if that does not work. It will take a while to determine if the mediction is going to work or not. The alternative is total removal of the thyroid and then some type of medication for the rest of her life. At this point we do not know what the final results will be - the info that I ask for will in some way determine the treatment that will be used, so please give what info that you may have. I thank You in advance for anything that you may be able to provide. Stan Rogers ** StanR91011@AOL.com

Subj: [MILLER-L] Jacob Miller/Nancy Lightfoot and more Date: 11/1/00 9:44:22 PM Central Standard Time From: Travelback4u@aol.com To: MILLER-L@rootsweb.com Hello Ok, two years of looking and feel like I am close. Jacob Miller married Nancy Lightfoot. (Of Rush Co., Indiana) My grandmother, tells her son, my father, that she is related to the Lightfoots of Woodford County Illinois. The Lightfoots of Woodford County Illinois related to those in Knox and Fulton County Illinois, along with the Marshalls. Now, my grandmother, Clara Belle (Murphy) Rogers, daughter of James Murphy and Mary Virginia Wright of Fulton County/Knox County Illinois. Clara Belle marries William Myrtle Rogers and are my grandparents. Mary Virginia Wright, is daughter of Joseph A. Wright (Light) and Mary Lavinia Miller of Fulton County, married in Knox County. The question is, how does this Mary Lavina Miller connect to Jacob Miller and where is the proof? I would also be interested in any Wrights who married Lightfoots. Thomas W. Rogers

Hey Bonedigger! Have any information on MILLERs in Graves Co., KY? If you have anything in that geographic area, I'll have brick wall questions for you. Thank Gary
I have made a recent discovery that I am hoping will help locate my Miller family ancestors. Peter Miller was a german immigrant that married a Missouri woman abt. 1868. They had two children, T.Herbert and Charlotta (Lottie) Miller in 1869 and 1871. Mrs Miller died and Peter returned to Germany. He left the children with a Schulte relative in Fredericktown, Missouri. Schulte was probably the married name of Mrs. Millers sister. I am hoping that this extra info might cause someone to recognize my Millers and connect with me. Karen Moore Kerr

This was forwarded to me from the Green site, and although as of yet I've found not on my family, it would surely benefit someone to have a look. Seems like there's lots of information. Good luck! Hello All, Am going to put out some feelers for another line of Millers - trying to get any information on Margaret Miller Hagarman, last known to have been in New Oxford, Pa. in 1911 when my Grandfather Joseph Raphael Hagarman was born. She died in 1914 and is buried in the cemetary at Conewago Chapel. Her husband at that time was Charles Hagarman, whom I've been unable to positively trace anywhere - my Grandfather was raised by two Aunts in McSherrystown, Pa., as his father was unable or unwilling to care for him. One of my Great-Aunts' name was Cleophus (sp) Meyers or Myers and the others' first name was Laura, she was a spinster. Thank you for any information on this line. I do have a photo of Margaret Miller, taken in York, Pa. Pam Miller Thomas emopam@earthlink.net ladypam@earthlink.net
