My name is Pati Stone. My mother is Peggy Bernice Miller. Her mother was Pearlie May Townsend (born Nov 27, 1915 in Fannin County, Texas and died Aug 2, 1970 at Gainesville, Cooke County, Texas) and her father was Leo Edward Miller (born Dec 28, 1899 and died Dec 14, 1937 in Gainesville Cooke County, Texas). My great grandfather was William Richard Townsend (born Oct 1, 1892 at Windom, Fannin County, Texas and died Mar 4, 1969 at Gainesville, Cooke County, Texas and his first wife was Annie Florence Riggs (born Nov 23, 1899 in Kentucky and died Jul 30, 1980 in Lamont, Kern County, California). My mother was born with an inherited eye disease, retinitis pigmentosa (RP). We have found no mention or sign of this so far on the Townsend side and have not gotten very far in our research on the Miller line. I am looking for connections on the Miller or Townsend side. Fiddlesticks, I'll take ANY connection at this point. I have quite a bit of info on the Townsend lines, (but plenty of holes, too) and very little on the Miller connection. From what I can discover, either the child listed as Eric in the obituary was adopted by someone after his father's death, or the child was using the name Miller. I have never been able to locate any other info On Leo Edward Miller. I will gladly share what I have. Thanks, Pati Stone

I'm looking for info on Paul Franklin Miller of Grainger co, Rutledge,Tenn or Jefferson City, Tenn. He was born about 1900-1902. He's my grandfather and no in the family knows who his parents were. He married Cora Hubbard about 1920-22. They had 11 children. They are both buried in Jefferson City. --- Alice Buck --- slewfootaline@earthlink.net --- EarthLink: It's your Internet.

Thanks to the efforts of another researcher I have clearly identified the connection of my great, great grandfather James Harvey MILLER with James POTTER "a soldier of the Revolution" in Cocke Co., east Tennessee. By deduction this should make James POTTER the father of my great, great grandfather's first wife Annie POTTER who he married circa 1831 in Cocke Co. and who died shortly after they moved along with the POTTERS to Clay Co., MO before 1840. Do any on the MILLER list have Potters, Ganns and Millers living in close proximity to each other in Cocke Co., TN circa 1830? Also I so enjoyed the crescent cookie recipe that I printed a copy and will try baking them. Lewis M. Ruddick

My Fairfield co Miller is Thomas who married Elizabeth Christ in 1826 in Bloom tp. I have been unable to ascertain his parents, though there were several Millers in Bloom tp, and one HAS to be his!! I was interested in the Kemmerer line as they are connected to the Radebaugh line. Radebaugh is collateral for me on my Mother's side of the family. Thomas Miller is my Father's side. There are many Miller's in the area where the Kemmerers settled, but that is across the county from my Millers. I have assumed they are unrelated as Thomas says he was born in Maryland.
