    3. I am inquiring about Charles Miller Woolston and Rachel Cook, both born in New Jersey. The death certificate of my great grandfather, Isaac Oram Woolston (d. Jan 3, 1914 in Magnet, Nebraska) shows Charles and Rachel as his parents. Since Isaac's birthdate was listed as Dec 18, 1845, I guess that Charles and Rachel were born somewhere between 1810 and 1830. Based upon Charles' middle name, I'm also guessing that his mother was a Miller.

    1. [MILLER-L] Millers of BourbonCo, KY, 1778 to IN/MO

    3. Website: Hatcher Families Resource Center http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~nhatcher List Admin: Hatcher email list List Admin: GenConnect Boards - Hatcher, Shepherd, Timberman Researching: Cook, Hall, Hatcher, Holtry, Kuhns, Miller, Shepherd, Timberman/Zimmerman "There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"!! Hello, Millers! The Millers of BourbonCo, KY were Maj. John Miller and brothers, Robert and William. These men settled in BourbonCo c1778 with Maj John Miller founding the town of Millersburg. Brother William (Sr) had the following sons: Robert (eldest), Thomas (bn 1786), and William Jr (bn aft 1790). There is a fair amt of data on Thomas, who went to CallawayCo, MO c1826 and also founded the town of Millersburg in MO. There is NO data on Wm Jr beyond his circa bdate. I believe my William Miller was the son of Wm Sr and brother of Thomas Miller. Although the history on Thomas says he md Elizabeth Dodd in 1823 BourbonCo, KY (and this appears to be fact), I believe he first went to FranklinCo, IN where he md Elizabeth Armstrong in 1813 and appears in the 1820 Franklin census with 3 daus and wife. He is not in the 1830 census. I believe his wife and possibly 2 small daughters died and that he returned to KY between 1820-1823 and md Elizabeth Dodd before removing to CallawayCo, MO c1826. I can't quite buy the idea that Thomas Miller first md in 1823 at the age of 37, so suspect he must have had a first wife. It is in FranklinCo, IN that my William first appears when he md Martha Timberman in 1823. I have found nothing to indicate he is connected to the other large Miller family in FranklinCo, and appears he went to FranklinCo alone sometime after 1820. Since family usually follows family, I believe William selected FranklinCo because his brother, Thomas, was already there. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who may have Millers, Armstrongs, or Dodds in the above mentioned areas of KY, IN, or MO in the time frame of 1810-1840, and who might shed some light on my Miller family situation. Cheers, Nel

Miller (abt. 1787) in Pa. Looking for information on Hiram Miller (b. abt 1818) listed in the 1850 Census in Somerset Co. with a wife Anne M. Miller and three children: Anne M. L. Miller-3, Sarah E. Miller-1, John Miller-2 months. Living near Hiram and Anne M. Miller, is a Jacob Miller (b. abt. 1787) and Susan Miller with a Catherine Bills living in their household. Would anyone be able to tell me more about this family? I've come accrossed 3 Hiram Millers in the past year, but my ggreat-grandfather, Hiram Miller, was married to a Mariah Metzger (possibly Anne Mariah Metzger) and they had the following known children: Sarah E. Miller-(1849), Leander John Miller, Alonzo H. Miller (1852), Clarissa Miller (1854) in Somerset Co., and possibly an Albert G. Miller. My Hiram and Mariah Miller were close relatives of Wm. J. Olwine of Somerset Co., Pa....He is documented in his estate as being the uncle of Hiram and Mariah's children. Wm. J. Olewine is also listed in this 1850 census living with his parents John and Hannah Wurtz-Olewine and a Mark Metzger. There is a John Metzger's family living nearby. If anyone has information on any of these people mentioned or could varify or disprove their connection, please email me at terrieraymer@hotmail.com Thanks Terrie Raymer _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

    3. Zepheniah and Ezequiel Miller were brothers and they lived in Burlington Co., NJ. They were probably born 1740s. Believe Zep was killed in the Revolutionary War along the Delaware River. Elizabeth Miller born about 1775 in NJ married Thomas Wilkins and they moved on to OH, IN and MI. Believe Eliz was the daughter of Zep but have no documentation. Where did Zep and Ezequiel originate and are there published records of soldiers of Burlington Co in the Rev. War? Barbara

    3. Looking for the names of the 6 children of David Malcolm Miller, who was the first Mayor of Highlands, NJ in 1901. He died in 1904 leaving behind 6 children ranging in age from 6-19 years of age. He was the brother to our Mary Miller Patterson and I am trying to fill in the tree and maybe find descendants of his that may have more family information on the paternal side than I do. I have tons on their mother Margaret Kierstead Miller. Sincerely, Donna Patterson cadigger@pacbell.net http://pattersonfamily.50megs.com

I've got some very good pics of my Millers going back to gggfather, William Miller bn 1796 KY, that you can check out at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~nhatcher/miller/famphoto.htm One "outstanding" feature of my Millers are the ears - they "stand out!" Background - Wm was bn in KY, no idea which county, but md in FranklinCo, IN, lived in FountainCo, IN, and children moved to IA and KS in the mid 1850s, possibly other midwest states. I suspect a northern KY county for Wm's birth. No clues yet on his nationality - so all you Irish, English, Scotch, Swiss, and German Millers - hope you'll take a look :-) Cheers, Nel
