I thought I would repost this again...in hopes there is someone out there who may have a connection : ) I am looking for parents for one of my 3rd great grandmothers Nancy Miller Woodward b-1788, d-1877. I believe she was born in Essex Co. N.J., and was married in nov 1807 in Metuchen Twp. Middlesex co. N.J. to William Woodward, in her brother James Miller home..or possibly the reception was there. I think James was older, and there were two sisters as well. Thier names I am not excatly sure of, posssibly Ann and Sarah. Nancy died in 1877 I think in Cincinnati Ohio, or maybe in Indiana, or Illinois...not sure. I am hoping to connect with another one of Nancy Decendants, or one of her siblings.... Or is there any other Miller researchers that has info for mid 1700's-early 1800's Essex or Middlesex, or any surrounding counties in New Jersey???? Help!!! : ) M.J. Petersen

Hi Donna: My digging has been more like scratching . I know from census records that my MILLERS lived in Silver Spring Twp. but I haven't pinned down their location within the township. My grandmother, EMMA F. MILLER, was born in MECHANICSBURG and her father was christened at St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in NEW KINGSTOWN. His mother, ELIZABERH SCUB/SCHUB, and father, ABRAHAM MILLER, were married in CARLISLE by Rev. F. Heyer, possibly at the 1st Ev. Lutheran Church. Good to hear from you. Ed

William Miller born in Missouri (according to information on his son's marriage application...don't know what year), married to Sarah Wilkens (also born in Missouri, same source). They had two sons, James Thomas, born 1854 in Nevada, Missouri and Jesse Clements, born 1856 in Nevada, Missouri. My grandmother, Nellie May Miller, daughter of James Thomas, was born in Nevada, Missouri, in April 5, 1887. I am totaly stymied. Any help from any source would be appreciated.

Found two little books in the library at Gallipolis Ohio. Thought it might be of interest to those doing Missouri research. Henry Miller born Germany ca 1768 married 1) Barbara Arbaugh in Greenbrier co, W. VA. (was VA) in 1796 and 2) Barbara Rife in Greenbrier co W. VA. 1816. This family came to Lawrence co, Ohio, Symmes Twp. John Miller born in Greenbrier co W. Va. 1816 is listed as a grandson of Henry and Barbara Arbaugh Miller. He married Winifred Wray in Lawrence co, OH and died 6 May 1873 in Pulaski co Missouri and buried not far from Dixon, Missouri. I will not give all particulars.
