    3. Here's my Miller, plus speculations, theories, and wild guesses :-) William Miller, bn Mar 27, 1796 (Bible record) md Martha Timberman 1) one gson reported Wm was bn in TN (what do gkids know?? :-) 2) William stated he was bn KY (1850 FountainCo, IN census) 3) A cousin's mother told her that "our Millers" had a connection to Daniel Boone (I know, I know!), but doesn't sound like a blood connection as much as perhaps being a friend/neighbor. Our family is not known for claiming kinship to the rich and famous :-) But this smacks of BourbonCo, KY. There is a possibility that my Wm could be son of Wm Miller/Jane Purdy (the brother of Maj John Miller who founded Millersburg, KY), both of whom knew Boone. Can't prove this connection. 4) The Timberman family lived near Maryville, BlountCo, TN in 1796 and a deed has been found showing a Wm Miller sold land to Jonathan Timberman in December 1796. Jonathan was the uncle of Martha Timberman, wife of my William. My Wm was 9 mos old at that time. Was he really bn in TN but raised in KY and thinking he was bn KY?? 5) A road map shows that Maryville, TN is just south of Knoxville where you find US75 heading north thru Lexington, KY and on to Cincinnati. This hwy appears to brush by or pass through BourbonCo, KY. I have read that many of our major highways were built following the major trails used by our ancestors. Did Wm of BlountCo move up this road, stop in BourbonCo, or just pass thru on his way to FranklinCo, IN? 6) Wm and Martha's children were, in birth order: John, Abram (named for Martha's father), Nancy (named for Martha's mother), Samuel, Mary, Washington, David, Sarah, Lucinda, Ruth, James, Aaron, Nelson, Joseph, and Edward, all bn in IN. So now that I've given you all the clues, who are my William's parents?? Cheers, Nel
