In the New Albany, In. Library is copy of information from a family bible of George H. INGRAM. On the front flyleaf is the words: Present to William Miller by Mrs. E. HASTINGS sister Mrs. James INGRAM. I am investigating James INGRAM. I believe his wife was Mary LEE married: 1807 in Hawkins Co., TN. (again this is from the New Albany, IN. Library collection.) I am thinking "Mrs. E. HASTINGS" was Mary Lee's sister possibly their mother was Elizabeth. Mary and James are reported to have had a girl they named Elizabeth. I am trying to connect MILLER to our INGRAM's. It is very possible a Thomas INGRAM married a MILLER girl. Thomas may be James' uncle. James' dad was Andrew INGRAM. Both Andrew and Thomas have land transactions in Hawkins Co., TN.around 1890. The name MILLER shows up every once in a while in these papers. Hello All, I am writing because I am still without any farther information on my Jacob Miller born approx. late 1700s -- early 1800s, As we have been told he had around 17 children. I have received some info. That I have been unable to confirm, The only info I know of for sure is that he had two children Able born 1821 (OK most info I have on Able says 1821 but I went and saw his stone and it says 1824 I believe) It's a very old stone so It might not be 1821, the second child is Warren Miller born 1825 possibly. Abel Married Loretta Wixson in 1842 in Canada I. Imagine in Markham. They moved to the United States namely Michigan In 1846. Also I have recently found some info that my Jacob may have moved from CT. to Canada with his father in 1804. Hi! I'm looking for the family of Jane Miller who married Patrick Keegan. Their son, Francis Keegan was born in 1842. He became a Fenian as an adult, eventually had to emigrate to the US in order to prevent capture and incarceration, or so the family lore goes. He married Ellen Leonard before coming to the US, and after a few years of travelling around, they found their niche in Brooklyn, NY where they died and are buried. Francis lived in Dublin before leaving the country, but I have no idea where his parents lived. Any help would be greatly appreciated! TIA! Thought I would send this message again.......tried about a week ago, but guess I must have done something wrong, so here goes......... Joseph Charley Miller was born October 12, 1877, in Jackson, Miss., and came to Texas with his parents as a small boy. They settled at Detroit Tex., in Red River County. In 1907, Mr. Miller migrated to West Texas and lived at Snyder six years and Spur 10 years. First wife's name was we believe Malissie Brewer. The family was told Malissie died around 1903 and is buried in Paris, TX. The 1910 census was of no help, because there is wife listed, but is unreadable and my husband's grandmother said her mother was dead by then, and he hadn't remarried, at that time.They had a daughter Lena, b. 1901, TX. He was known as Jaycie or Charley. His second wife was Jeneva, called Jennie and she was from Paris, TX. We believe her maiden name was Blevins, and we know she had a daughter named Dolly who married a Perry. We have a copy of Abilene newspaper obituary which reads: <<Ex-Mayor of Jayton Dead--J.C. Miller succumbs to 12-weeks Illness--J.C.Miller, 59 year old former mayor Jayton, died here last night. He succumbed at 8:55 o'clock to a heart ailment for which the Kent county man had been receiving treatment at Hendrick Memorial hospital the past 13 weeks. Mr. Miller, a Mississippian who had lived in West Texas since 1907, operated a feed store and produce house at Jayton. His daughter, Mrs. W.Q. (Lena) Casey, of Abilene, has been a patient in the Snyder general hospital since June 8, recovering from a major operation. She was to be returned home today. Other survivors are his wife; a step-daughter, Mrs. W.G.Perry of Paris, TX; a brother Sam P. Miller of Jayton; two half-brothers, J.B. Miller of Wink, and B. M. Miller of Spur; his step-mother, Mrs. Austin Frasier of Spur, and two grandchildren. We believe that J.C.'s first wife Malissie could have been a Brewer because my husband has a small paper notebook with the dates of Sept. 11, 1900 through Sept. 12, 1901. There are various poems and notes that appear to be written by this J. C. Miller. In this book, he refers to his wife as Malisie and Malissie. There also seems to be a prose written by a W. H. (William Henry) Brewer at Pullman, Arkansas (Dealer in general merchandise). This Brewer addresses this prose to J.C. as his brother (could be bros.-in- law?) Because of this notebook, we believe he and Malissie lived in this area of AR or it could have been TX, depending on the state line disputes they had back then. There is also mentioned the name of Mother Groub........ On J.C. Miller's death certificate, which was never filed until we went to Abilene, TX and showed them our info---then they found some records and filed it, as we waited. Until last year, there was never a death certificate for him. From their records, it shows his father as P. Miller and Nannie Coppage.....MS. Marcia, This is what I have been able to piece together on my Miller lineage,..most of the information has come from Jim Weyand (who is a descendant of Mary Polly Miller and Jacob Weyand Jr). My line is through Jacob G. Miller and his son Hiram Miller. I have posted this information to see if anyone has anything more on Nicholas Muller or his other children, and I am requesting a will look up on Adam Miller of Somerset Co. and Bedford Co., Pa. I don't think Nicholas Muller came to America since Adam resided with his ucle Jacob Miller but I don't know that for sure. Here is what I have: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Generation 1: Nicholas Muller of Gerhardsbrun (Sevabrichen) a town in Bavarita, Germany. This is located on the French/Germany border. Generation 2: Adam Miller, b. May 14th, 1750, in Gerhardsbrum, Germany, came to Hagerstown, M.D. in 1773 and lived with his uncle Jacob Miller/Muller until the war broke out when he enlisted and served one year. He co-owned and operated a store with David Kershner of Hagerstown, M.D. Adam married in March 15, 1779 in Hagerstown, Md. to Rosanna Kershner (1765-1779), dtr. of Johan George Kershner. They bought a lot in Berlin on June 20, 1795. He served as justice of the peace from 1791 to 1798. He kept a journal (written in German) now residing in Berlin Historical Society (untranslated). He was re-elected to the assembly in 1799-1802. In 1808 the moved from Berlin to Buffalo Mills, Bedford County, Pa. Adam died in 1827 in Buffalo Mills, Bedford Co. (now Somerset Co.), Pa. He is buried at the Berlin German Reformed Churchyard. His will is in record book 2, Feb 27, 1827 Bedford County Courthouse 00459. Adam and Rosanna Kershner Miller's children include: 1. Miller, b. 1852, d. 1929, married 1st to Jane Ann Hudson and 2nd to Sarah Columbia Miller (dtr. of Phillip Miller) in 1889 in Fairchance, Fayette Co., Pa. Children include: 1st marriage to Jane Ann Hudson 1. Albert G. 2. Elizabeth (1884-?) m. Harry Krienbrook 2nd. marriage to Sarah Columbia Miller-Taylor in Fayette Co., Pa. *(Sarah had son, Albert J.
