    1. [MILLER-L] Jacob Miller-Ohio to Ind.
    2. CATHLEEN SANTIAGO
    3. I have been trying to find the parents of Jacob and his wife Nancy. The only dates that I have is that they had daughter Catherine Miller in 1835. Catherine's death certificate says that she and her parents were born in Ohio. We know that they were living in Deleware county Ind. in 1857 when Catherine married there. She married Abraham Hale. The death certificate names Jacob Miller's wife as Nancy Miller, so we don't know if that was her maiden name also, or maybe they didn't know her maiden name. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. 2. W & J Germann
    3. Dear Lynne, In 1830, my ancestor Isaac Love appears on the census list for Vermillion Co IL. On the same page are John C. Miller (b. ca 1799) and Martin Miller, (born ca 1800). I believe these to be the same three families which by the late 1830s were in present day Maries County MO. In a Goodspeed's biography of John C. Miller, he is listed as the son of George Miller, b. ca 1775 in Ireland, died in East TN, and his wife, Aggie Conley who was born in East TN. George was a harness maker and saddler. Aggie was of German Descent. A third son of George and Aggie may have been an A.N. "Noah?" Miller who was born can 1807. I have followed this John C. and Martin somewhat as I believe that their mother, Aggie Conley, may be related to Isaac Love's wife, Phoebe, who was also a Conley. I hope this helps you some, maybe your George is related somehow to this family. 1. [MILLER-L] I would most like to meet James Miller of Co K 11th Illinois Inf.
    2. Jerry Woodin
    3. When I got his civil war packet with pension records twenty years ago I thought I would be on my way to finding his parents. I haven't made any connections to his family of origin since. James Miller was born in Fairfield, Ohio ca 1825. Pension records from his widow indicate that he was a neighbor of the David Brecount family of Glendale, Hamilton County, Ohio. His sister-in law Ruth Brecount Rogers stated in 1896 that her sister, Eliza Jane Brecount and he were married ca 1849 or 1850 at their father's, David Brecount, house. The 1850 Census however lists Eliza Jane as a single female living with her father. Ruth and her husband George Rogers are living in a nearby township close to another brother David and his wife Sarah Brecount. In the 1900 Census James and Eliza's eldest daughter, Martha is listed as being born in Ohio October 1851. While her brother James David, is listed as being born in December of 1854 in Illinois. Intervening census records seem to comfirm that. In 1860 and 1870 the family is listed in Newtown Township, Livingston County, Illinois. The invalid pension application is made 1885 at Creston, Iowa. All of his children with the exception of daughter Martha who marries Resin B. Longnecker ca 1874 in Livingston County and remains there all her life, move to southern California by 1896 when James dies. Sure would like to find James parents. My mother his granddaughter maintains that the family is Pennsylvania Dutch but I can't find any connection so far. 1. [MILLER-L] Love to meet with Charles Miller
    2. Margaret Melton
    3. I would like to have 30 minutes with Charles John Miller. He was born in Chester Co. Pa. in 1834 His father was reported to be William and of foreign birth, and his mother was Mary of Pa. I don;t know if he any any brothers or sisters. The family moved in 1856 to Livingston Co. Ill. There Mary Miller died after being burned in a sleigh fire at the age of 45, and William Miller died at the age of 75 of a stroke?. That is all I can find have been doing genealogy for over 25 yrs and have been stumped on this line. It is like the Millers did not want ANYONE to know anything about them or their lives or their business. Will continue to try. Am even making a trip to Ill this summer to try to trace him. Margaret
