Charlene, If people are saying you're sending messages with attachments to them and you didn't, you have a virus in your computer that was in the Strickland-L list last week. Everyone that sends a message to this list or any other that you belong to will get that message from your computer with a note saying "Take a look to the attachment". Anyone getting this message, don't panic, but DO NOT open the attachment or you will get the virus. DELETE it immediately and there will be no problem. Charlene, you need to stay off-line until you get rid of the virus in your computer. Everyone that sends you a message will get that back. To everyone else, if you send a message to this forum, the message from Charlene will come straight to you and not through the list. The actual attachment has several different names it goes by, but will have the above note in the message body. The best way to keep from getting a virus is: !. Don't ever open an attachment if it comes from someone you don't know. And 2. Even if the e-mail attachment comes from someone you know, don't open it unless you are sure it really came from them and not some virus in their computer. They need to let you know they are going to send it or put a message in the body of the e-mail where you are sure they meant to send it. Also, if you don't have a good virus prevention software in your computer, you better get one and keep it up to date. However, don't trust it completely as some do not offer protection from virus's sent by e-mail. When in doubt, DELETE. Jim
George, Did you realy send me a message? If not then perhaps this is happening to you as well (see below which also came from the MILLER-L list). Brad Henderson -----> Message from Charlyne... It has been some time since I have posted to the list but it has so active lately thought I would give it a try. I know some of you have seen this before but am hoping for some input from anyone new. I am looking for information on Johnathan Dallas Miller b,abt 1847 in Pa. Married Sylvina Culver abt.1867. They had 8 children. Some born in N.Y. and some in Pa. Sylvina died 1901 in Ovid, N.Y. Have heard that he moved back to Pa and remarried. No names or dates. He used the name of Dallas. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a head of time. Charlyne in Fla.
Bev, I am pretty sure we have connected, but my last email to you personally got bounced back. What time frames were you searching for again? We tie in with the Miller/Kierstead line. One of our Millers was the first mayor of Highlands, NJ as well. My tree on my webpage is also searchable. ----- Original Message ----- From: George T. Hardy To: MillerL@rootsweb.com Sent: Saturday, April 21, 2001 8:13 PM Subject: Millers of Dallas, Ar. Hello, I am sorry that I didn't give any dates I am new at this. My g-grandfather William Henry Miller was born Jan. 29, 1855. In the 1880 Polk Co., Ar. census William is listed as 25 and born in Mo. both of his parents are listed born in Va. In the 1900 Polk Co., Ar census he is listed as being born in West Va and his parents are listed born in West Va also. My grandfather William Rufus Miller's birth certificate says William Henry was born in West Va. I took a genealogy trip this week and visited with the 89 year old daughter of William and Sarah Elizabeth Butler Miller's oldest daughter Lucinda Emiline Miller Fisher. She said that the family moved to Yanush, Okla and then to Springer, Okla. They settled in the Konawa, Okla area and died in St. Louis, Okla. I don't not know any of Williams siblings names or his parents names. Thanks Glenda Hardy

Mathais was the son of Osy Reid, possibly born in OH., and Rebecca Beaver, possibly born in KY. When he entered the Union Army, in 1860 he was living in Centerville, Iowa. In 1882 he moved to Niobrava, NE. In 1887 he moved to Seattle, WA. Osy and wife do not appear to have raised Mathais. He was living with John and Mary Wilmington, outside Centerville, in 1850. Anyone with information about Osy, sometimes called Oaz would be most helpful. I am trying to get his family back to Scotland. Anyone who needs information on Mathais, I will be glad to share. Hello all listers, I have stumbled across some information that says My Miller's Came from Scotland then over to the USA and were in Erie Co.... New York. I have Info that states my G G G G grandfather was born in Erie Co. NY circa 1786 & his brother Joshua was born circa 1779 but it does not say where. There father's name was also Joshua Miller. So if any one has any idea of where to search for this info I would be grateful. Kevin Miller Coleman MI
Fellow Listers: I have a couple of Millers in my Family line that I am searching for. I have found them in the 1900 and 1920 Census images, and also on my great granddad's obit from the funeral home. and now I am on the hunt for more info as that is where they drop off. for me. This is from the obit of my great granddad's obit from the funeral home in Lemoyne, Cumberland Co. PA D. Roy Miller, 61, an employee of the State Capitol, as a painter. 207 S. Second St. Wormleysburg died tonite(March 8, 1945) at his home of a heart attack. Survived by his wife Mary, sons Donald L. Miller, at home, Sgt. Roy R. Denming(Denning) New Mexico, Pvt. Harold R.Miller, Douglas Arizona, brother, Harvey Miller, Harrisburg, Sister, Mrs. James (Irene) Snyder, Wormleysburg. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 2pm from the Musselman's Funeral Home 324 Hummel Avenue Lemoyne, with the Rev. Dr. R. P. Stover (Retired )Pastor of the Church of God. Burial will be in the Rolling Green Cemetery, Camphill. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday after 7pm. ______________________________________________________ Next is the following people I am looking for: Wesley Miller and Alfreda Fausnacht Millers additional children that were not listed on the 1900 Census. On that census she was state to have had 7 children 4 of which were alive at the time of the census 3 of which I can account for on the census image: David Roy Miller, Irene Miller(wife of James Snyder, married in the 1920 census), Harvey Miller. Now on to the 1920 census and the obit: D. Roy Miller is listed with his wife Mary Elizabeth (Peters) Miller was listed with their children : Donald L. Miller, Roy Miller, Harold R. Miller on the 1920 census. I have located much information on Donald L. Miller and Harold R. Miller(my grandpa). I am looking for Roy Miller, whose last known location was either NewMexico during WW II or Ohio. My father said he recalls him having a Daughter named Linda and a Son named David. My family is not sure if he came back for his Mother's funeral Mary Elizabeth Peters Miller in February 1969 or not. I am unable to contact my aunt to find out for sure if he was even alive at that point. As most of the men in the family that I have been able to acquire death certificates for have died of Coronary Occlusions between the ages of 45 and 60 and also from complications of diabetes that were left untreated. I am trying desparately to find Roy and any of his living heirs to make contact with them to share the information i hve found out on the men of our family so that maybe they can get the proper medical treatment now and change lifestyles etc to prevent this tradgey in our family line from continuing. My brother and his son are at this time the only other known living Millers of this line, besides my father Harold's son.. Thanks for your time, Tracilyn
