Fellow Listers With regard to these viruses we are hearing about AGAIN. All of us know there are morons scattered around in the general population that have little or no social or communicative skills so if they can't join us they've decided to annoy us. You cannot change that, but for the umpteenth time, you cannot be victimized if you DO NOT OPEN A STRANGERS ATTACHMENT. I don't know how to make the message any clearer than that. Regards, Larry
I am looking for information on Daniel H Miller, born April 1840 in PA who married Mary F. Grimes, born Dec 1844 in PA, on 5 August 1866 in Middle Woodbury, Bedford County, PA. They were both residents of Middle Woodbury at the time of marriage. I found them in the 1900 Census living in Woodbury Borough, Bedford County, PA. This census lists them as having 8 kids of which 4 were living. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Jeffrey Grimes

I also recieved a attachement with a virus, but when i saw the look to the attachement,i knew it was a virus. I belong to quite a few mailing list and this seems to be making its rounds on all of them. Some of us believe that is the joke of a sick person who had nothing better to do then cause people problems. I firmly believe in keeping your virus protection programs up todate and beware of any attachements sent. I usually will let someone know ahead of time that i am sending them an attachement,so they will be looking for it,if know one recives a before hand warning from me,then they know i didnt send it. My mother is Charlotte MILLER Harper. Her father died when she was 6years old. He was in a coal mine cave-in in West Virginia-Oak Hill, I believe, or in the general area. His father was Alva MILLER. I know that one of the Miller grandfathers had a wife named Almida BYRD. She or her mother were full blooded Cherokee. My mothers middle name is Almida, named after her. Because of Charlotte's early death of her father, and her mother remarrying and moving to Alabama, we do not know any more. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. I wish i had more to go on,i am hopping someone might reconize these names and be able to make some sort of connection. If anyone can help me knock this brick wall down,I would be grateful. Thanks for all help, i am now one step closer to finding the leaves that have fallen from my family tree. Reference is made to <jessie@netheaven.com> e-mail. I don't think we match but there are some tempting similarities. My great grandfather, Jesse MILLER was born in Yates, Co. N. Y. on 5 Sept 1838. His parents were Leonard MILLER and Lydia MILLER (that's her maiden name). We know very little about them except that Leonard was apparently born in Pa. and Lydia in Va. Their sojourn in New York was short and they later moved on into Ohio. Could there be some connection? Jessie and your Mary Elizabeth were born 30 years apart but could still be siblings. Jessie's birthdate (1838) could reasonably make him Caleb's son although Caleb was not married until 1846. Mary also seems to be a favorite name in both families, Jesse married Mary Ellen Shannon, and my mother's name was Mary Etta Miller. Probably no connection but close. Herb

My apologies if this is off topic, but I have tried about everything I know. I am trying to locate a David Miller, born 1932 or 1933, I believe Massachusetts. Last contact was Dallas, TX in the 1980s, owned security business. He was stationed at Keesler AFB in 1951. There was a group of four that regularly visited a family in Pike county , MS. Have located one. Where is Dave ? Any help appreciated, Patsy

Good Morning, I would be pleased if anyone can provide information of any kind on the following. Trying to get parents of my great grandmother: Mary Elizabeth Miller b. 30 May 1868, d. 20 Sept. 1956. Married John William Norris 14 Jan 1886. Found her on the 1880 census in Peachbottom Township, York Co., PA at the age of 12 in the home of her grandfather, Caleb Miller. I believe her mother's name was Lydia. I have no clue on her father(the census lists him as born in MD) or a maiden name for her mother. Caleb Miller, b. 31 Oct 1819 and d. 21 July 1889. Married Mary Ann Unknown on the 31st Dec 1846. I believe their children include Marguerite, Martha, Rebecca and Anice. I believe Caleb's parents were Isreal and Lydia. Anything at all would be appreciated. I am going to visit York Co in June and any new clues would be most helpful. Ramona Norris NORRIS, MILLER, SIDES,DUNKLEY, ELSWICK,COLLINS
Hi all, If anyone recognizes these people, please email me. These people are all tied in together but I don't know how. 1. Frances Miller married Thomas Bridges August 25, 1831 in McDonough County, Illinois. They were married by James Vance. 2. Cellena, Hellena or Ellen Miller married James Vance on August 25, 1831. I am not sure if James's dad married or how that worked. I do know there was a James Vance who was the first Justice of the Peace in Industry, IL. 3. Lernie B. Miller who was married to Amy Bridges, died very young. Lernie and Amy had a son named John Miller. At 2 1/2 years, John was taken in by his uncle, James Vance. James Vance is the brother of Margaret Vance who was married to John Bridges. Margaret and John are the parents of Amy Bridges. Got any questions, email me. My website is located at: http://people.ce.mediaone.net/backster/bridges.html Information about Thomas and Frances is located at: http://people.ce.mediaone.net/backster/thomas.html Vances, email me on that. thanks, Julie:)
1909 From the Booklyn Eagle Girls School #142 Will Present Song of Scotland This Evening, Pupils of #3 to Render the Program at Boys HS. Father Bush Resided at the Exercises of #18- #9's Graduation at Erasmus Hall Tonight-Festival at #58, Woodhaven. Miss Annie A. L. Egan, the principal of PS 142, Henry & Rapelye St. is a firm believer in the educational value of music, and each year has a program which differs from the previous year, and at graduation the flower of the school, the graduating class, entertains, it's parents and friends with the result of the musical training during the year. Last June it was Moore's melodies which were sung and commented on. This year it's the songs of Scotland, which will be sung tonight. The girls will thus possess a treasure which cannot be stolen from them by time. For the last time Paul Martin, Jr, the music teacher, who has entered into Miss Egan's plans with enthusiasm, will play and lead. Hereafter he will be the music teacher in the Stuyvesant HS. Mr. Martin will play the "Graduates March" and the class will sing "The Blue Bells of Scotland." Those who have heard the girls of PS 142, know how well they can sing, and they always furnish a treat up to their friends. The other songs which the class will sing are, "O Wert Thou in the Cauld Blast," "Annie o' the Banks O' Dee," "Annie Laurie," "My Heart's in the Highlands," "My Love's Like a Red, Red Rose," and "Auld Lang Syne," The Star Spangled Banner," will be sung by class and audience. The music of "My Love's Like a Red, Red Rose," was composed by Mr. Martin and dedicated to Miss Egan. But other singers besides the class will entertain the audience, old friends of Miss Egan and of the girls, Senor Don Cabellero Guetary, late of the Royal Italian Opera, Covent Garden, London, and Livingston Chapman, solo bass of the Lafayette Ave Presbyterian Church. Senor Guetary & Mr. Livingston will each sing solos and together will sing a duet, and entrainment such as it to be given tonight at PS 142, would attract a great audience at any time in Brooklyn. The schoolhouse will be crowded. There are three recitations: "An Umbrella Lecture," Helen Field: "Nathan Hale," Adele Moran, and "The Mourning Veil," Effie Bowie. Dr. John Harrigan, and old friend of the principal and the school, will preside, the District Superintendent Campbell will make the address to the graduates. Edward Cassin is chairman of the reception committee. The graduates are: June Class: Jennie Miller
