Hello, I'm seeking information on George and Sarah Ainsley Miller. Both were born in PA ca 1790's. Children: Leah, 1829 William, 1832. Settled in the Chillicothe, Ross Co, OH. Mary, 1834 Agnes, 1836 James, 1843. Married Catherine Ann Walters at Walnut Grove, Johnstown, Cambria Co, PA, in 1868. Settled in Milton, Northumberland Co, PA. My earliest record of George & Sarah (1830 Census) shows residency in Indiana County, PA; however, there appears to be strong connections to Johnstown, Cambria County, PA. Miller: Found out his birth must have been the 25th oct 1835 and that I did some mistake: he is born in Richland, OH what does not mean that he was born in Richland County (as I thought). There are 12 !!!! Richlands (Towns or townships) in Ohio in different counties: Allen, Belmont, Clinton, Darke, Defiance, Fairfield, Guernsey, Holmes, Logan, Marion, Vinton, Wyandot. Does anybody could lookup the 1840 or 1850 census (or census index) of those counties? Or does anybody knows a link where I can find them? I found a Jackson Miller at Allen Co., OH in the 1850 Census (277b) with a son named William (as sooo many others), age 16. Does anybody did research on this family and nows about this William? I know, that GEORGE WILLIAM he was married (approximatly 1860) and had a child MARY C. MILLER (also a very unusual name, haha). She was born 17 apr 1861. Her mother (we don´t have a name) died 12 days after delivery: 29 apr 1861. What happened with Mary? During my research I found some records, but have no proof yet, to be sure which one could be the right one (if there might be). I have just recently learned the identity and possible background of my Wife's Great Grandfather. His name is John Miller, b: April 9, 1848 in Mecklenburg, Germany. He migrated to the USA with his parents (Christein and Maria) sometime around 1852-53 and settled in Black Creek Tow, Wisconsin. He grew up in Black Creek and married Sophia (?Faust?) Husman on October 2, 1875 in Seymore, WI. They had 8 children. Sophia died April 22, 1907 and he remarried Lena Endter or Eudter. They had one child (Earl Frederick Miller b: Jan 4, 1912) John died October 10, 1937 and is buried in Seymore City Cemetery in the Husman Plat. I have searched hundreds of passenger lists and haven't had any luck. Does anyone have and suggestions/ideas/help?
