I found in the 1880 Census a: Thomas Miller (b. abt. 1829 in Hesse Darmstadt) m. Elizabeth (b. abt. 1842 in Hesse Darmstadt) Children: all born in Pennsylvania George (b. abt. 1869) John (b. abt. 1871) Andrew (b. abt. 1873) Henry (b. abt. 1876) Louisa (b. abt. 1879) I think this Louisa Miller is my Louisa that married Jacob Parker in 1900. Those are Jacob & Phoebe's children some of these I do have some speculated yrs on so if they look familiar please inquire with me. the reason I am giving all of this information is because there is a large Scottish Highland festival in my area this weekend I will be attending and I would like to have all possible information I can have to see if I can find the Miller Clan I belong to, From what information I have I know my Miller's were from Scotland and I am almost sure that Joshua, Sr. was probably born in Scotland just unsure of where. I also believe that Joshua & Jacob could have been born there to, there is info that also states they were in the Erie Co. NY area around 1801. And then from there they went to the Niagara Falls area then on to settle in Markham twp. York Co. by abt. 1804. Then some of them moved to Genesse Co. Michigan. Michigan is where I am from Midland Co. Michigan. He was married to Viora Nesbitt and had three sons, Earl, James and Arch and states that his father was born in Vermont and his mother in New York, he also being born in New York. Since leaving I have sent for whatever I could and am now at another brick wall (is there an end to those darned brick walls?). I now know that George William Rogers was listed in the 1900 Hamlin Township, Eaton County, Michigan Census with wife Viora and sons James and Arch. However he was listed under William Rogers. The only thing which has George on it at all so far is his headstone which I have physically seen so I know that it reads George W. I have since sent for the death certificate which has the name of William Rogers, with a birthdate of June 2, 1853 and a death date of October 10, 1915 born in New York, no county listed. It has parents of Oliver Rogers born in Connecticut and Sophia Miller born in New York. Once again I do not know where to look. I know that you are very knowledgeable with this stuff so am sending you what I have. I hope this finds you feeling well and also your wife. I know you have medical problems and wish you well.
