    3. Charles, I am looking for information about my gg grandfather,Peter Miller. He was born in Germany/Prussia abt. 1835. He married Dorthula Gibboney in St.Gen. County, Mo in 1865. (near Cape Giradeau. They had two children: Thomas Herbert Miller, born 1869 in Il. and my g grandmother,Lottie Mae Miller b.1872. By 1880 Peter Miller had returned to Germany and his wife had died. The two chilren were left with two different families in two different counties. T.Herbert Miller(age 11) was with a family in Wayne Co. Mo. and Lottie Mae(age 8) was with the Betzel family in Iron Co.Mo. They were listed as servants or other on the census. By 1890, Lottie Mae Miller was in Madison Co. Mo. where my g grandfather,George F.Moore and his large family lived. There was a house full of other Millers living nearby. George Moore and Lottie Miller married 1893 in Mississippi Co. Mo. On the 1900 census Lottie Miller's brother,T.Herbert Miller lived with them. He was a shoemaker. Lottie and husband had 5 children and moved to Texas. T.Herbert is not listed on any census with them again. T.Herbert Miller appears to have remained in Mississippi Co. Mo and married a Clara? They had children: Blaine,Herbert, Hildred, and several others. I found them on the 1910 census,(He had a shoe store), but not on 1920. Have not been able to see if they were in Mo. on the 1930. My g grandmother, Lottie Miller Moore died in 1946 and her brother is listed on the obit, so he was still alive. I do not know how to check for reverse emmigration where your ancestor returns to Germany instead of comming to the US. But I would love to find any info on Peter Miller. I would also love to find any descendents or info on Thomas Herbert Miller. Do you see any of these people in your info? Thank you for any help. Please understand that this is a Genealogy board and that if all of us wanted answers to our questions "in private" there wouldn't be a board to ASK your question. All of us have seen what could be considered silly and dumb Q & A's but what's dumb to one person is the needed piece of the puzzle to another.
