Hello, Looking for connections to this MILLER line from Utica, New York... John MILLER Parents Paul & Elizabeth Schueler Miller Thanks, S
All my mail is not coming in to me and I wondered why? Does anyone know if there have been temporary interruptions or problems? Charles
Hi Everyody I am looking for information on a Julian Miller who married a Myrtle Fuller. They resided in Monona Co. IA. Apparently they werent married very long as you can find Myrtle (single) living with her father in the 1910 census then in the 1920 and 1930 she had two children, Dorothy and Clarence Miller and they were living with her father M. Thurston Fuller again. Julian was apparently married before Myrtle because in the 1920 census he was remarried to a 19 year old Verna and had a son that was 8 years old by the name of Irwin L. Miller. Julian, Verna and Irwin were residing in Magnolia, Harrison Co. Iowa. Julian, by the way was Julian L. and he was 32 in 1920 and born in Iowa. I am researching the Fuller family and would like to piece together this information on Julian and Myrtle and maybe find out more on their daughter Dorothy. The son Clarence married (unknown) and and may have divorced but had children Shirley, Judy, Larry, Randy, and one son that passed away by the name of Gary. Clarence died Aug 7, 1994 in Whiting Iowa, Monona Co. in a nursing home. He apparently moved to Mapleton in 1958 and was a carpenter and builder. He is buried in the St. Clair Cem. in Ute, Monona Co. IA. Thanks. Denise in Iowa
Enjoyed reading the post of Jan Durham!! Jan posted a Charles MILLER and son Charles Jr. the latter being at Waxhaw Church. Just want to point out that the first Pastor of that church was a Rev Robert MILLER from Scotland. His Pastorship at the church ended about 1754, his family went thru SC thru GA to MS. I have a little bit of info on the man and his family if anyone wants it. Wonder if he was connected to the two Charles MILLERs reported by Jan? Charles
Several listers have indicated they are having problems accessing the Clovis Miller website which Charles recommended. I have the home page for that website bookmarked as follows: http://www.geocities.com/webbercreek/ I have never had any trouble getting to the home page using this URL -- tried it again a moment ago and it came up just fine. Oh so many Millers! And oh so many illusive Millers. I too have an illusive John Miller that I would like to find more details on. I see the John Millers posted and I have high hopes but none quite fit the specifics of my John N Miller. Here are his specifics. I hope someone recognises him or his children & descendants and can help me work my way a bit further back. Glad to see the Miller list coming to life again. The MILLER RECORDS ... were compiled by Florence Mims of Edgefield, SC ... That's where I photocopied them while in York County, SC. It is not a book ... just a typewritten manuscript. It starts with Charles Miller, Sr. saying that he was the earliest known member of the family in S.C. It has that the ancestor of the family landed in Boston and that the family went south to Lancaster SC by way of Maryland. Both Charles Miller, Sr. and his wife died about 1792 in SC. There is no mention of his parents or siblings. It is possible that some of the Millers who settled and stayed in the NC area could be related in some way or other. One of his sons, Charles Miller, Jr. was born in Massachusetts or possibly Maryland and he came to South Carolina with his father. He was living in 1766 in Anson Co. NC and in Lancaster Co. in 1772 when he received grants of land. But there is a letter written by Gov. Stephen D. Miller of Lancaster Co., SC (son of Charles Miller, Jr.) in this manuscript where he stated that both of his grandparents (paternal and maternal) settled in Lancaster Co., SC and were Presbyterians. Waxhaw was their church. They died when he was a small boy and he did not kow their given names or where they were born. He did know that his grandmother Lucas' family were first in Boston then went south - and some resided in New York. Gov. Miller's aunt was my Elizabeth Miller Webb ... and he stated that she died before he was born and was buried in Springs Cemetery, Fort Mill, SC. Gov. Stephen Decatur Miller b: 1788 - d: 1838 ...married twice: 1) Elizabeth Dick; 2) Mary Boykin. WOW, was I ever bombarded with e-mails the last couple of days, it was great, but so far I can't find one line that is related to my husbands Miller line from Georgia, then North Carolina not really sure yet on N. Carolina. This is how the lines goes that we are sure of so far: Starting with my husband and going back. 1. Ray Milton Miller Parents: Ralph Meldrum Miller & Nora Lee Farmer - 10 children: Conyer, Mahlon, Lenford, Lois, Ray, Oweda, Chad, Linda, Caroline, Thurmond all born in Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia Grandparents: Claude Emory Miller & Lois Massey - 12 children: Ralph Meldrum, Fred Henry, Eliza Janet, William McKindly, J.R., Bessie Naomia, James Oglesby, Edward, Thomas Edison, and a son and a set of twin daughters never named that dies at birth. Great Grand Parents: Richard Miller Jr. & Eliza Jane Dobbs - 7 children: Thomas Monroe, Henry Alfred, Mamie Lillian, Laura Poter, Ida Anna, Claude Emory, Harrison Freeman. GG Grandparents: Richard Miller Sr. (b. in Burke Co. Georgia) m in Hall Co. Letty Caroline Guthry - 11ch. S. Miller, Malinda Margaret, (twins)J. (f) & R. (m), Richard Jr., Jane, G. Jerry, Letty P.C., Rhoda, Julia A., Rebecca. This line starts to get weak and we are not sure of its correctness. as to the GGG Grandparents as being who we have them as being. GGG Grandparents: George Nelson Miller (b in Burke Co. Ga.) & Elizabeth Niles - 8 children: Benjamin, Richard Sr., James, Elizabeth, Harriett, Catherine Louise. GGGG Grandparents: Richard Nelson Miller (b in Greene Co. Ga ) & Elizabeth Porter - 4 ch. Catherine, George Nelson Miller, Emily, Joanna. GGGGG Grandparents: Reuben Miller (b in Bladenboro, Duplin Co. North Carolina) & Nancy Webb 6 ch. Benjamin, John Webb, Richard Nelson, Eliza J(ames), William, George. GGGGGG Grandparents: David Miller (b in Bladenboro abt 1689) & Pheobe Seymore - 1 ch. Reuben (b 4 Apr 1715) If any of this line sounds familiar to any of the Miller list we would be ever so grateful. Thanking you in advance for any help is kindly appreciated.
Same here, Linda. Velma (also in Ok.)

Please contact me if you are. Thanks, Carol > I'm not exactly researching in that area, but Cullinus (variously, Calurus or Colinas) Miller, brother to my 4th great grandfather, Samuel Miller of KY > MO, married "Polly" Sloan in Blount County, TN, Oct. 22, 1800. Cullinus did not move to MO; apparently remained in TN. I'd be interested in learning about any connections in this area. With a name like Cullinus, this man has been a real help in locating information about this family of Millers!
All the action on this list has inspired me to get back into my Miller research (now I have more unfinished projects because of this - lol). I found a website that I had been to long ago, and it is really good. You can key in town or county as well as surname, and it only lists names for what you keyed in. www.geneanet.org My Miller family was in Fairfield County,Ohio in early to late 1800's and some moved on to Hocking,Hancock and Wood Counties. I will post my names in another message. Ruth Sprowls
