Roe, age 88, of Clinton passed away August 23, 2007. Robert was born March 17, 1919 in Adrian, Michigan the son of Ezra and Elizabeth (Levelett) Roe. On September 15, 1940 he married Jennie Eunice King. She preceded him in death in 1994. Robert was a farmer and excavating contractor. He was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Navy. Robert was a member of the #176 Clinton American Legion Post. Robert is survived by his children, Douglas Alan (Connie) Roe of Clinton, Richard Raymond Roe of Clinton, Janice Kay (Rick) Knight of Wauchula, FL and Gerald Owen Roe of Milan; brother Furman Roe of Adrian; fifteen grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Besides his wife Eunice, he was preceded in death by his parents; son Robert Ronald Roe; daughter in law Carrol Roe; three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Monday, August 27, 2007 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian with the Rev. Richard Bruce officiating. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian with military honors conducted by the #176 Clinton American Legion Post. Visitation will be 2 - 8 P. M. Sunday, August 26, 2007 at the J.
