In Google I found this information on an Orrin Potter. Enlisted Sept. 25 1813 in company of Capt. Jonathan Prentiss jr., Dixon's Regt. State of Vermont roster of Soldiers in the war of 1812-14 prepared & published under the direction of the Adjutant General, 1933 p. 341. He lived in the town of Milton, Vermont, where he was a grand juror. J. I can find no further trace of them in Lenawee County. Orin was buried in Grand Rapids, Kent, MI 6 months later, 3 January 1871. I have not personally visited the court house in Lenawee County to look for the marriage or the death, but a paid search has been made with no result. I do not know where Orin died, as his death is not recorded in Kent County, either. I also do not know who Elizabeth is or what happened to her. Can anyone shed some light on this couple?
