Appratently there was a fire before William was born and the records were destroyed. I do have William's will probated in Leanwee County. There is no obiturary for Mary Ann, either in Kansas where she was living with her son or in Lenawee County. Her body was probably sent back to Michigan for burial. I can check the cemetaries there. I have not visited the courthouse in Sylvania, but I will contact them. I do have some information on William when they lived in Slyvania. Some sources say the were born in Sylvania.
