Well Laura A Smith was born in Ashtabula, Monroe Co Ohio. May 1848. I believe her father's name was Chauncy Smith of New York, and mother was Olive from Vermont,. Laura's 1st marriage was to my ggggrandfather William A Russell born in Ohio?? but the marriage was in Lenawee, Michigan 8/27/1863. They produced my gggrandfather William J Russell 8/1865 or 1866 Then William A Russell seems to be gone from the picture because Laura marry's a Samuel Wilson 7/6/1868, in Tecumseh, Lenawee Co. Michigan.. They have 3 girls together and on census records it shows samuel as william j russells adoptive father. Laura later dies, it seems like 1879? cuz Samuel remarries a susan in 1880. Now William J Russell who was Raised by Samuel Wilson married samuel's sister's daughter Alzina Lanning. 2 Apr 1892 Adrian, Lenawee Co. Michigan.. That's were my family begin's Do you think you can help me befor that.. I can't find anything on the Russell or Smith side. Nor Wilson.
