Addison, Mich., farmer. She b. 1878, Aug. 3, Addison, Mich. J. DeWitt graduate at the High School, Addison, Mich. 1892; graduate (B.Sc.) at Michigan Agricultural College, 1897, East Lansing, Mich.; worked on his father's farm two years; soon became assistant preacher of M.E. church; ordained an elder and preached four years in Samaria and four years in Dundee, Mich.;in Feb. 1908 left for the home farm to care for his invalid father. Before marriage Ethel was a musician of local reputation or unusual skill.
