What I do know is my gg grandfather, Thomas Iveson, was born In Pocklington, Yorkshire in January 1829. He immigrated to the US (Wisconsin) in abt 1848-1851. I have found a (suspected) brother, Jonathan, who also left England for Canada about the same time, whom I found in Montreal in 1881 (census) with his family. (Name misspelled Ivenson) But he was born in Pocklington also. On Thomas' death certificate it was indicated that his father's name was John. I suspect the Michigan Ivesons are connected to the Wisconsin Ivesons because apparently some of the MI Ivesons cmae to MI via Canada. (Not very concrete, obviously) Anway, I could love to compare notes about your Ivesons to see if there is a connection. They probably are all inter-related, but how I do not know. -Elise, MN
