Brainard's first wife. I'm researching Francis' descendants my Name is Richard Clark, I'm director of the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Museum in Springfield, IL. around 50 years ago, we received a donation of a civil war diary belonging to Francis A. Brainard of Adrian MI. It was never opened until this month. I have transcribed the 1863 diary but would like to contact some of his descendants if possible.
