My Daniel Whitman lived in Ohio/Michigan, and by 1870 he was living in Dover Township, Lenawee County, Michigan. I learned he was married three different times. His first wife's name is unknown, but it is believed he had a son named Charles by his first wife. His second wife was Mary Humphries, and he married her in 1872 in Morenci, Lenawee County, Michigan. Their known children were William, Daniel, Harriet and Arminda. Sometime around 1898 Daniel Whitman sold his Lenawee County, Michigan property and moved to Eureka Township, Montcalm County, Michigan. He is not found in any 1910 census, so I believe he died between 1900-1910, probably in Michigan.
