"Jim" Adrian Passed away Sunday, January 8, 2006 in Adrian, MI. Jim was born June 26, 1941 in Detroit, the son of James and Reba (Hampton) Lawson, Sr. He grew up in Menifee County, Kentucky, and moved to Michigan during high school, after which he served with the United States Marines. Following his time in the Marines he lived several years in the Allegan and Kendall areas before moving to Adrian. He was a journeyman sheetmetal worker for many years, and enjoyed volunteering for hospice, working on clocks, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife Sharon; 2 sons, Randy Lawson and Mike Lawson, both of Allegan; many grandchildren; his mother, Reba Lawson of Gobles; a brother, Scotty (Sharon) Lawson of Gobles; a sister, Cheryll (Dave) Goodwin of Gobles; a niece and 4 nephews. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2006 at the GOBLES CHAPEL D. L. Miller Funeral Home www.dlmiller funeralhome.com with Pastor Mary Beth Rhine officiating.
