I requested and received a death certificate from the Lenawee County Clerk for my gg grandmother, Mary Ackley, who died in Adrian on July 29, 1898. Problem is, the copy I received was transcribed from the original and typewritten on a form, and I think the person who transcribed it didn't transcribe her father's last name correctly (some of the combinations of letters just don't make sense). Since I live in southern Illinois and can't get to Michigan any time soon, I was hoping someone who has a little experience reading old handwriting could look at the certificate in person and possibly decipher her father's last name. Thanks for any help anyone can give.
