    3.  Hi Carol:   I'll see you tonight, but thought as long as I was overhauling the books I'd send an updated book stock. There's a couple we should probably reorder - Mich Messenger 1 & Tec Herald 1880-1895.   Thanks, Susan

    3. Well, hello Joyce! I always wondered what had happened to you. No, I have not joined the DAR. I sort of lost interest and then got busy doing cemetery research. A friend and I have several websites online and we are really kept busy with borrowing cemetery records and copying them to our site. (Just google Crazy Cemetery Ladies of Lenawee County) We also "walk" the cemetery and write down everything on the tombstone because so many of our local cemeteries do not have good records. It keeps us busy. Did you every join DAR? Gilbert and Albert Mann are my glitches. Can't get proof of a good birthdate record for either one. Also, Almira (Gilbert's wife) is listed in her town's records as "Elvira", so not sure they would accept that, either. Maybe I'll just take in what I do have and let them tell me what's missing. Are you still in contact with Tom Jenkins down in Georgia? My computer crashed last summer and I no longer have any of the old e-mail addresses or I would try to get hold of him. I have ended up with a ton of Mann records, so if you are in need of something, let me know. Author: AnneHalford Surnames: Classification: lookup Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.michigan.counties.lenawee/5050.4/mb.ashx Message Board Post: "History and genealogy of Samuel Clark, Sr." by Edgar W Clark, publ. 1892 (online at http://books.google.com) lists the children of Noah Clark, complete with birth dates, spouses, etc. He reports Noah Clark and Mary "Polly" Harkness were married in 1816. That is about 6 years after Charles was born. In 1820 census (New York, Genesee, Gains, pg 4) Noah and Mary have 2 little daughters, Parthenia & Elizabeth, no sons. I didn't find a census showing a Noah Clark with a son Charles age. However Noah's father Jehiel Clark does have 2 unidentified boys under 10 in the 1810 census. The above ref. says Jehiel's wife, Noah's mother, died ca. 1813. I speculated that Charles might be Noah's baby brother, raised by another family after his mother died, or possibly a nephew. There definitely seems to be a family tie. Author: Dawndee2001 Surnames: Perry, Raplee Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.michigan.counties.lenawee/5052/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am hoping that someone can help me. I am researching Elias and Anna and their family in Lenawee County. In March 1850, Elias died. He shows in the mortality index for 1850. However, his wife Anna and the children that would have been home (Jasper, Chauncey and perhaps a few others) do not show in the 1850 census. I have found Jasper and Chauncey in the 1860 census....scattered. I believe that the family may be been split up after the death of Elias. I know that Anna died in 1875 in Springville. But I cannot find her in the censuses in the time from when Elias died and she died. Can anyone who is familiar with Lenawee County sources help me? If I can be pointed in the right direction to search possible records, it would be greatly appreciated. Elias and Anna had several grown children.....Zelotus Perry, Pherson Perry, Erasmus Perry, Uriah Perry. Zelotus lived in Lenawee County. Pherson, I believe, lived in Ionia or Montcalm County....and Im still trying to determine the whereabouts of the other two. Any suggestions? I asked if we could gain entry to just write down the names on the stones and the lady said she would have to ask her husband and get back to me. That has been two or three weeks ago. She also said most of the stones are smashed because the land was used for cattle grazing. Margie of the Crazy Cemetery Ladies of Lenawee County

    3. Been there & lived that more times that I care to think about. No need for apologies, Mary as 2 angry letters aren't the best way to start a day. Just know all you do is GREATLY appreciated by many! 3. Accepted, and forgiven here. What I read was a bit of frustration with the system. Seeing that I suffer from that more often than not, I hear your pain. Now, go drink some more java heavily spiked with caffeine, and enjoy your visit with your son.
