What a trip down memory lane. Much of my summers during my childhood and ealy married life were spent there. My Aunt Florence Thompson Palmer and her husband Olie Palmer(he didn't want to be called uncle) own/ed several cottages there. I grew up in Adrian so Manitou Beach was the place to go. sjw Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Tibbs ( although maybe not called that anymore...it might be IGA or somthing is now housed in the replacement 'Pavillion'. I believe it is still owned by someone in the Tibbs family...?? I do know what PROGRESS can do to a area. When I lived in Addison the summer population ran over 2,000. If I remember that was double the winter population. All of my growing up was in the Lenawee County area. The area has a lot of wonderful memories for me. It is named Hillside. Turn North between the Upper Elementary and the Elementary school and proceed down that road between the mill ponds. When you reach junction road turn west (left) and the cemetery will be almost immediately on your left. I would be willing to do a look up if you need some help. Don't quote me but it seems like there are Walworths in the North Rome Baptist cemetery down to Devil's Lake Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. We have a few Genealogy Societies that have this as their project to record all the Cemeteries in their own areas. When this if finished hopefully they will be accessible to all. Probably doesn't even look the same anymore. Now I understand why Addison has a picture of Shady Shores as a beach front. When I lived there the only water in Addison was the Mill Creek and the park. I do not remember if there is a cemetery in Addison as I haven't been there in over 50 years. I also have ancestors buried in one outside of Adrian but none "in" Addison but would love to hear if there is. I have been doing Genealogy for many years and thank all for all their efforts in making this possible. After I started doing genealogy I found there were more Walworth's in and around the area while I lived there and didn't know this.
