Church, 4351 Parnell Ave. NE, Ada Michigan 49301-9746? Phone 616-691-8541 ...much information plus sacramental & cemetery records. >From "St. Patrick's Church, Parnell Michigan; 1844-1994" Published 1996 Page 130 Morris {sic} Scanlon "The family left Ireland for America in 1840, and they settled in Grattan Township in 1843. Morris Scanlon" {1788 Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland- 1860 Michigan?} "was one of the founders of St. Patrick's parish." This book has Scanlon page 130 & Sullivan p. 131. John Sullivan born 1812 in Bantry, County Cork died 1894. This parish is heavily intermarried; my gg-uncle, Martin MORRISSEY (1820-1891) and his BOOKEY nephews are my connection. Separately, my great grandfather, Daniel Cary Sullivan was born in Bantry 31 Oct. 1843 - died 19 Mar. 1923 Town of Gaines, Orleans County NY with no clear Mich. connection. Good Luck, Gerard Morrisey, Albion NY Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
