III, Age 72 Of Grand Rapids Passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009. Mr. Heacock was preceded in death by his son, Jess W. Heacock IX.; brothers, Joe and Tom Heacock. Surviving are his wife, Zelma; children Barbara (Richard) Cavner, Bill (Wendy Hamilton) Heacock, Brenda Heacock; step-children, Paula (George) Petty, Rhonda (Teddy) Ash; grandchildren, Jesica, Nicholas, Adam, Matt (Sheila), Edward, Denise (Quinten), April (Billy); great-grandchildren, Ava, Alexandra, Taylor; mother, Isabelle Sheppard; sister, Joyce (John) Beeke; brother-in-law, Ernest (Vonda) Crunk; special family friends, Barb Day and Ed and Marcia VerKaik. Jess will be remembered for the love of his family and friends, as well as being an avid Bowler here in Kent County. He also owned a 1947 Ford Coupe Street Rod and made many friends at all the car shows he attended. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave., Wyoming.
