Age 54 Of Grand Rapids Passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Monday, March 16, 2009. Edward was preceded in death by his father, Edward A. McCready, and mother, JoAnne Trevillian. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Lisa, and their daughter, Danielle. Also surviving is his sister, Candace Ray; in-laws, Bill and Joyce Stuifbergen of Kalamazoo and sister-in-law, Debbie (Tim) Reeder of California and Scott (Linda) Stuifbergen of Bay City and many nieces and nephews. Ed was an aviation enthusiast, logging thousands of hours as a pilot. He owned an aviation sales company for the last 20 years and loved introducing novices to the world of flight. Edward's true passion was boating, captaining his boat several times between Florida and islands in the Bahamas. He enjoyed deep sea fishing and Lake Michigan. Friends and family have great memories with him on board the boat as he was always a generous host. Ed was a devoted and loving father to his daughter, Danielle. He often spo! ke of her to friends and how proud he was of her accomplishments. He always encouraged and supported her and leaves her with many fond memories. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1 PM at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Chapel. The family will greet friends on Friday from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
