BUCHMAN DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS William F. BUCHMAN, 62, died at his home, 929 Worden st., SE, after a long illness. He came to Grand Rapids two years ago, when he was forced by ill health to retire from the hardware business in Clyde, O. He was a member of Trinity M.E. church and of the Masonic lodge at Clyde. Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. W.W. HOAGLAND and Mrs. R.P. SHELBY, and three grandchildren, all of this city; two brothers, J.H. BUCHMAN of Toledo, O., and Earl J. BUCHMAN of Akron, O., and a sister, Mrs. Ida HERR of Attica, O. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Metcalf's chapel, and funeral services and burial will be in Clyde. BUCHMAN, aged 62, passed away Wednesday morning at his home, 929 Worden st. He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. W.W. HOAGLAND and Mrs. R.P. SELBY; two brothers, J.H. BUCHMAN of Toledo, O., and Earl J. of Akron, O.; one sister, Mrs. Ada HERR of Attica, O., and three grandchildren. Brief funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at the Metcalf chapel, 933 Cherry st., SE., following which the body will be taken to Clyde, O., for services and interment. BUCHMAN was born December 1868 (according to the 1900 U.S. Census) in OH, the son of Peter Adam BUCHMAN (1843-1909) and Rosa Ann BRILLHART (1840-1916). William married Flora B. McCLELLAN on 21 February 1889, in Seneca Co., OH. Flora B. McCLELLAN was born January 1869 (according to the 1900 U.S. Census), in OH, the daughter of Felix Grundy McCLELLAN (1825-1902) and Margaret McCORMICK. William & Flora had 2 daughters: Grace & Norma. William Buchman died 26 March 1930, in Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI. Flora died 1 September 1946, in Grand Rapids, MI.
